Connecticut Youth Services Discussion Lists goodnightmoon - A listserv for anyone involved with children's services in Connecticut public libraries. This is your place to ask questions,
share ideas, brag about great programs, let off steam, find out about continuing education, in short, to network with your
colleagues from all over the state. Please introduce yourselves and your library when you join the list, it will be a great
way for all of us to learn more about the talented, creative, people who make up the world of children's libraries in Connecticut.

Other Youth Services Discussion Lists PUBYAC - An Internet discussion list concerned with the practical aspects of Children and Young Adult Services in Public Libraries,
focusing on programming ideas, outreach and literacy programs for children and caregivers, censorship and policy issues, collection
development, administrative considerations, puppetry, job openings, professional development and other pertinent services
and issues.
ChildLit - An unmoderated listserv for discussion of children's literature. It is maintained by Rutgers University and owned by Michael
Joseph.
ALSCCOLMGT - An online forum for public librarians who are engaged in the development and management of children's print, audiovisual,
and electronic collections.
ALSC-L - The ALSC Electronic Discussion List keeps subscribers informed of ALSC activities and issues.
ALSCPUBSCH - Public Library-School Partnership Discussion Group list provides an online forum for school and public librarians who are
working together or planning to develop joint activities.
ALSCSTORY - For discussion of issues and concerns in storytelling, as well as keep in touch with a storytelling support group.
BORNTOREAD - A discussion list where those participating or interested in the Born to Read program can exchange ideas, solicit advice, offer
insights, and learn more about this exciting program.
CHILDTECH - ALSC’s Children and Technology Committee has established an electronic discussion list, CHILDTECH, devoted to the discussion
of technology issues as they relate to youth services in libraries.
MANAGINGCS - ALSC's Managing Children's Services Committee established MANAGINGCS as a forum for sharing issues, ideas, queries, solutions,
and best practices in administration, supervision, and management of children's and youth library services.
PRESCHSVCS - An online forum on any topic related to preschool services, programs, or materials related to children from ages infant
through the preschool years, and the adults who serve them.
YALSA-BK - For discussion of young adult literature. YALSA-L - For news and information about ALA and YALSA programs and activities. Provides subscribers a channel of communication for
feedback to ALA and YALSA. YALSA-LOCKDOWN - For discussion of issues unique to librarians working with incarcerated youth. YA-MUSIC - For discussion and development of recommended practices in collections, programming, and related topics in music and media
for young adults in libraries. YA-URBAN - For discussion of issues particular to serving young adults in large urban public library systems. YA-YAAC - For discussion of issues particular to teen advisory groups, professional development, programming for young adults, and
