The Middletown and Willimantic Library Service Centers NEW and BETTER  Insignia online catalog is now available. 

Some things to note about the new ILS and online catalog:

• You will need Firefox 2.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 6 or higher
• Full url: http://www.insigniasoftware.com/connecticutopac
• Without logging in, you get the simple search page. For Advanced search click on the tab at the upper right
• You can log in to your account by clicking on the My Account tab at the upper left of the screen and then using your User ID number. This is the account number you already have with us.
• UserID is also your password. If it tells you that your password is unsecure when you log in you can ignore it (click OK) and then go on into your account. You could also change your password if you wish in the patron tab.
• In the My Account tab you can see what you have on loan, on reserve and your loan history.
• These lists are sortable by any of the fields in the list, i.e. call number, title, due date. Just click on the column heading you wish to sort by.
• You can also place reserves and view your loan history
• When you reserve an item, it will say “Pick Up From” and then one of the centers. Just ignore that. We will send you yourreserves in CCar as we always have.
• After you’ve visited the service center and want to print a list of items you have checked out on a given day go to the Loan tab and select the beginning date as the date of the checkout and the end date as the next day. For example if you checked things out on July 27 that would be the “From” date and July 28 would be the “To” date. The default dates there are From: the date a year ago and To: today’s date. You need to change both of them to print the list of the things you checked out on a given day. Click at the top of the column list to sort the list by whichever column you like and then print. For example if you want to sort by call number click on that heading.
• When you look at due dates or reserve dates in the catalog you will see that many of them are in the format: Day/Month/Year. We are working on getting this changed to Month/Day/Year. But not all of the dates have been fixed yet.
• We know that there are still some glitches in the catalog and we are working on them. Please be patient. 

Libraries will need to know their LIBRARY ID NUMBER.  Call one of the Service Centers to find out what your Library ID Number is.
