Web Junction notes:
"Restricting access to the C:\ will prevent Microsoft Office from saving to the desktop. Some librariesw might prefer that the C:\ drive and other drives be hidden in My Computer and Windows Explorer rather than restricted altogether, so that patrons could still save to the desktop from Office programs.
I took the following steps to try and hide the C: drive in the Public account for testing purposes:
1. Unlock Public
2. Log into Public, Run Tweak UI, uncheck C: from My Computer
3. Lock Public
4. Log into public, C: drive still appears.
Next attempt:
1. Went into User Restrictions (while profile was locked)
2. Unchecked a few items that I thought was blocking the Tweak UI program from running.
3. Went back to try and run Tweak UI under Public
4. Got a message "Tweak UI has been disabled by the Administrator", no luck.
5... I also tried pinning Tweak UI to the start menu temporarily
I figured that since I have "Prevent access to the command prompt" and "prevent access to the registry editor" checked right now (and I don't intend to remove these), that it might be causing Tweak UI to not gain the access it needs to the registry and/or command prompt.
Perhaps I need to uncheck these temporarily, run Tweak UI, remove C:\, then go back and recheck them?
Do I really need to use the other alternative of going into the system registry?
