ARSL Conferences

The annual ARSL conference was in full swing last month. If you couldn't join us,  handouts and presentations are available in our conference section.

ARSL members from Idaho enjoy the recent conference
You can also start making plans for next year's annual conference in Gatlinburg, TN (September 11-13, 2009)

New Look and Feel for all things ARSL

Welcome to the new landing page for all things ARSL.  We hope you come here regularly to see what's going on with your organization, connect with other members, and share challenges and successes you're having in your library.  If you're used to using this area as a launching-off point into the resources and discussion on WebJunction, you'll see that not much has changed.  You're still able to use the Navigation Rail on the left side to find ARSL Organizational information, Conference Info, Journals and Newsletters.  Your discussion link is now a tab directly above this welcome.  The headlines below will change regularly and give you the latest news and information from ARSL. We are glad you're here.

National Summit on Rural Libraries

Dr. Bernie Vavrik convened a National Summit on Rural and Small Libraries this past July at the Center for the Study of Rural Librarianship in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Both Satia Orange and Don Reynolds from ARSL attended. The final report is now available for review, as well as the reformatted version that includes goals and strategies that ARSL may help in achieving.
