Contributing to WebJunction Connecticut
Find out how you can be a part of WebJunction.

The Connecticut State Library encourages active participation by Connecticut library staff in WebJunction Connecticut. WebJunction Connecticut is just one part of WebJunction.org. You may contribute material on Connecticut subjects or national ones. We hope you will consider contributing directly to the Connecticut version of WebJunction.  You will see a variety of ways to contribute as as you use the site.  Some contributions will appear without having to go through an approval process and some will not.  Contributions on national topics are controlled by WebJunction Central.  Contributions on Connecticut topics are controlled by the Division of Library Development, Connecticut State Library.

Editorial Control

WebJunction Connecticut is the main vehicle for providing information from the Division of Library Development (DLD), Connecticut State Library, to the Connecticut library community. This is the primary function of the WebJunction Connecticut project.  As a secondary function, WebJunction Connecticut will make available all reliable and relevant information from any source that enhances library development in Connecticut. The staff of DLD are responsible for maintaining and enhancing WebJunction Connecticut, and for maintaining overall editorial control of the project.

Contributions on Connecticut topics

  • The submission should be edited for style, grammar and spelling.
  • Submissions should be on topics within the scope of WebJunction Connecticut and be of specific use to the Connecticut library community.  Normally such content will bear directly on library development issues in Connecticut.  See the Connecticut Content Guide for an outline of existing Connecticut content on WebJunction.
  • Submissions will not normally appear on the WebJunction Central site or other state partner sites, though WebJunction and state partner editors may choose to add this content to their sites.  By providing content to WebJunction Connecticut, you are agreeing to allow all WebJunction sites to have access to your contribution.

Copyright
WebJunction uses the Creative Commons system of rights management for contributed content, so creators of original content can choose from a set of flexible copyright licenses to protect their works while encouraging certain uses of them.
