2005 Public Library School Partnership Awards
The Governor's Summer Reading Challenge - Public Library School Partnership Awards are designed to build upon and to link honor those schools and public libraries that work together to bring the best summer reading programs to their towns. Cooperation between schools and public libraries is critical in order to send a strong message about the importance of reading to students and parents. In April 2006 an Outstanding Public Library School Partnership Award was presented to the Madison partnership, and five towns were honored with Awards of Merit. The four towns were Canton, Essex, Newington, Rocky Hill and Simsbury.
